Yes, this is indeed a Snake Plant, but unlike its cousins, its narrow, rigid leaves arrow out in several directions.

CloseIndoor gardeners appreciate Snake Plants for their ability to withstand neglect and lower lighting, but some find the vertical profile unappealing. Enter Mikado Snake Plant (sometimes referred to as Fernwood) that has the same attributes as other Sansevierias, but sends out its much narrower, rigid leaves in just about all directions but straight up. In low light settings, snake plants will essentially maintain their size and shape with minimal growth. Given more light and patience, they will exhibit more growth, and Mikado may eventually attain up to four feet in height. Sansevierias don't mind being root-bound, need deep but infrequent watering, and generally thrive on benign neglect. In exchange, they purify the air and in the case of Mikado Snake Plant, add an unusual profile to the indoor garden.
