Unlike its vertical cousins, this Sansevieria forms stiff rosettes of green and creamy gold, earning the nickname of Golden Bird's Nest Sansevieria.

CloseThough most Sansevierias can tolerate low-light conditions, please reconsider placing Golden Bird's Nest Sansevieria in a windowless room. It is a stunning houseplant, and that fabulous golden variegation may actually disappear if not given enough light, natural or otherwise. Unlike its Snake Plant cousins, this variety forms rigid rosettes, about eight to twelve inches tall, sending out new rosettes around the original plant. As is true of all sansevieria, Golden Hahnii prefers deep but infrequent watering and will tolerate tight quarters, though transplanting it when the pot fills will just give room for more rosettes to grow.
