CloseSansevieria devotees may want to consider adding this cylindrical snake plant to their collection of houseplants. 'Starfish' sansevieria has round banded leaves that radiate out from a base in a flat plane, resembling a starfish. Just as adaptable to varying light conditions as the more common snake plants, 'Starfish' sansevieria will grow more in higher light settings, but no direct sun. When it comes to water, err on the side of too little rather than too much. The leaves may begin to look shriveled if they need more water. As is true of all sansevierias, this variety should be kept out of the mouths of pets and humans, and will help purify indoor air.
