CloseMore than one houseplant answers to the name of Watermelon Vine, and Pellionia pulchra's leaves do resemble the rinds of watermelons. Also known as Polynesian Ivy, this specimen grows only three inches tall, but can trail up to two feet long, given the right growing environment. Originating in SE Asia, this unusual trailer prefers high humidity and lots of indirect light, so keep this one away from heater/AC vents. Grow in hanging baskets that are well out of range of fur friends and little people, as Pellionia pulchra should not be ingested by pets or people.
