Should we tease the roots?

I’ve noticed when planting hanging baskets or containers the one question that invariably comes up. Here I try to answer that question, along with a few other planting tips at our Planting Bar.

Hi Charlie! Making the trip from Maryland? We have to stop for a latte (or hot cocoa) while you’re here. It’s a celebration. (See you soon!)

Hi Karen! That’s two out of two! I can promise I’ll always strive to be informative... the entertaining part might be just by accident... and occasionally.

Oh yes Linda! I have to wonder... what will be our version of the Great British Baking Show? Gardeners! Ready, Set. Garden! (Stranger things have happened.) And when it comes to symmetry you are always the first I think of...

Hi Linda! It’s really our community of Rebel Gardeners. I just share the secrets I’ve learned from them. (And always checking the science.)

Only time will tell sister. Only time will tell. I’m still amazed at how good of a gardener you are though.

I always learn so much. I now know that gardeners can be a planter half empty or a planter (maybe more than) half full. I was going to mention a good gift for your birthday would have been lubricant for that squeaky table elevator but you beat me to the comment. That planting area must be exciting when the tables are busy. All those symmetrical people (I felt you speaking to me) appreciating their symmetry together. And if different the less symmetrical creations. What is that English show about baking? That planting area feels like that. All these gardeners creating amazing presentations. Rooting for roots. Teased or not!
