Planting a hanging basket? Here’s an idea...
Planting a hanging basket? Here’s an idea we’ve been using to great effect in the thousands of baskets we create each spring (and throughout the year.) Of course, we borrowed the idea directly from the early 1700’s...
Hi Charlie! You’re not the only one! I’ve had several people this week comment to me here at the nursery’ about the color wheel... I’ve also come to realize how used and faded it has become too. (Yikes!)
Good video. Never heard of a garden color wheel. Seems like good idea. Again well done.
Linda, you do make me laugh. And the cake and the card (as well as the environmentally -friendly plates) on my birthday made it so extra special. (Thank you again!)
As Mr. Spock would say "fascinating". I feel an apple (not a tomato) has fallen on my head with this revelation. I also learned on Tuesday (Jonn's birthday) that men are not "coneheads" which isn't necessarily a good thing and women are (which is a good thing) when it comes to color vision. My lessons at the feet of Mr. and Ms. Garden Corner. It may explain why our beloved leader (being male) might struggle with getting the colors right when commenting on the colors of the flowers. The color wheel is amazing. I thought the perfection of colors in baskets was a learned or serendipity thing at TGC but I have learned today you have your own wheel of fortune when it comes to getting the right colors to contrast or compliment as you desire. I will have to look at the finished product more closely next visit. Live your passion (with color!)
