Whew! That was a hot one! In the midst of the heat wave and during a crisis of watering trucks, I discovered something about a salvia that I never would have thought to ask.

Hi Linda! From what I understand, this is suppose to be once in a lifetime at event. I’m trying to stay positive but I can’t help worry. (What is their exact calculation of a lifetime?)

SO unusual for the PNW. Like AZ weather. And as you said the high wind just added blast furnace to it. One of my favorite salvias is "hot lips". It seems invincible and really throws out a lot of plant and blooms and my hummers love it. I might have to check into that purple one. I had one called black and blue I think or something like that and it was just such a pretty plant and the hummers enjoyed it too but it didn't come back. The hot lips definitely does. It's sad when even the shade is nearly unbearable but better than the sun! I had apples literally cooked on the top it was so hot. Natural roasting! Keep cool!!
