It happened. And since winter is just underway, it's really bound to happen again. I'm talking about the "cold spell" where it threatens to snow, temperatures drop, ice forms. How worried should we be about our plants in hanging baskets (and in the ground.)? Here, I attempt to analyze the real risk factors.
Hi Cate!
You are surrounded by a unique kind of beauty aren’t you? (Congrats!) And I see, you’re all the more tougher for it. Stay warm in the meantime! (And see you soonish!)
I live in Sunriver and have we had several weeks of very cold snowy weather. In the teens at night and low 30's during the day. All our baskets were brought in months ago, but most of our outdoor plants in the ground survive our winters pretty good. I love your videos even though lots of time they don't pertain to our conditions. When the weather warms up a little (say in June) I will make the trip up to your nursery for baskets and tomato plants.
