This easy-to-grow houseplant earned the nickname 'Peace Lily' for the white flowers that resemble flags of truce.
Available in store
CloseIndoor gardeners, both experienced and novice, soon appreciate the ease of having a Peace Lily, so named for the white flowers (spathes) that resemble flags of truce/peace, and last for weeks at a time. Lush green foliage can grow anywhere from one to four feet tall and wide at maturity and does best when given adequate indirect light, higher humidity, and thorough watering when the surface soil is dry. Though it combines beautifully with other houseplants in planters, the Peace Lily may eventually need to be moved to its own container so it can reach its full potential.
