Close'Jubilee' Hens and Chicks shows off its perfectly formed rosettes of green and red throughout the year. Technically a perennial, it can withstand winter weather as long as it has good drainage. Once a "hen" flowers in the summer, it will die, but all its little "chicks" will fill in the gap and grow to be as beautiful as the mama. This variety is naturally compact in width, but baby chicks may be moved to other spots to spread and fill in. Drought tolerant once established, 'Jubilee' thrives in container planters, rock gardens, and along borders, and is more than forgiving of missed watering once established.
