CloseBlue Spruce Sedum or Stonecrop is a low-growing, blue-green evergreen succulent that actually thrives in those sunny, seemingly inhospitable areas of the garden, as long as it has good drainage. Growing six to eight inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide, Blue Spruce sedum does resemble spruce needles, and works well on retaining walls, in xeriscapes, rock gardens, hanging baskets, and container planters. Yellow flowers appear in the summer, attracting bees and butterflies. This sedum will become floppy if grown in too much shade and looks its best in the full sun.
