More than one customer has mentioned growing a "goth" garden, and this dark sedum would be a perfect addition!

CloseThe descriptions of the foliage of 'Chocolate Fountain' Sedum have ranged from black-cherry to chocolate-colored, but all extol the luscious dark hues of this unusual sedum. Bred to produce multiple, strong branching stems, this heat lover forms a dense mound of thick, intensely dark leaves, about a foot tall and 12 to 24 inches wide. Sedums thrive in well-draining soil, so amend clay soils well before planting in the ground, or opt for container planters. 'Chocolate Fountain' puts on a show in late summer with bright pink blooms topping the dark foliage, then dies down when the temps drop to freezing. Fear not, it will reappear in the spring, once again adding its dark good looks to the garden.
