Close'Touran Scarlet' saxifrage holds its own as a long-blooming, evergreen spot of color for spring and early summer gardens. AKA Mossy rockfoil, it tends to look its best when planted in dappled sun, or with a bit of shade at the hottest time of the day, and depends upon regular watering in the full sun. This variety blooms a bit later than 'Alpino Early' saxifrage and maintains a dense, compact mound of foliage year-round, about four to six inches tall and six to 12 inches wide. 'Touran Scarlet' saxifrage will catch the eye when planted along borders or in container planters and hanging baskets.
