CloseAlthough technically a perennial, our Pacific NW winters may be a bit too cold for 'Roman Red' salvia to return year after year. Please don't let that deter you from adding this striking salvia to your container planters or a sunny garden spot. Hummingbirds and bees LOVE salvia and the red blooms are an absolute beacon for the hummers. Once planted, this salvia goes to town, forming a two to three foot tall shrub that is just about as wide, blooming right up until a hard frost.
