Strawflowers are one of those novelty plants that seem to go in and out of fashion. 'Peachy Keen' is so pretty, it's sure to bring strawflowers back in demand. Part of the Granvia series, 'Peachy Keen' has larger than normal, daisy-like flowers with rigid, papery bracts. Narrow lance-shaped leaves are disease-resistant, forming upright mounds 18 to 30 inches tall and almost as wide. Native to Australia, Xerochrysum bracteatum likes it hot and sunny, and does well in large containers or along garden borders. These are excellent cut flowers and can be dried.
