A wildflower native to the Appalachian range, this viola does well in the Pacific NW and appreciates the same growing conditions as trilliums.
Product Description
Product Description
'Silver Gem' viola is something of a sleeper in the Pacific NW but does well as a low-growing ground cover or trailer in shadier spots of the garden. Regular watering and afternoon shade (or all day dappled shade) will keep this perennial happy and blooming from spring right into the fall. Evergreen in its native east coast environment, 'Silver Gem' may get a bit tired looking in Pacific NW gardens, but trimming it back in the spring will give it a fresh start.
