Veronica is a dependable perennial, sending out long, narrow leaves in the spring, followed by plump, upright flower stalks. This one is a sun-lover and though allegedly more disease-resistant than other cultivars, full sun and watering from below will keep the leaves free of powdery mildew. Marietta speedwell is a welcome addition to cut-flower and cottage gardens, adding brilliant color to borders, container planters, and hanging baskets all summer long.
