Torenia 'Catalina Gilded Grape'

Wishbone flowers are a nice departure from the "usual" summer shade annuals, adding a bit of wonder with their wishbone-shaped stamens and snapdragon-like blooms. Mounding up eight to 12 inches tall before spilling over the edges of hanging baskets, 'Gilded Grape' torenia is just plain fun, sporting bright yellow petals that surround a purple throat. Pair with ferns, hostas, or coleus as added color, or use as a trailer for more upright summer bloomers such as begonias or impatiens. Also a bee and hummingbird magnet, torenia isn't usually a favorite of deer.
