Thuja occidentalis 'Janed Gold'

It's difficult to tell the different varieties of arborvitae apart, especially when viewing them as a solid hedge. 'Janed Gold' arborvitae literally shines with bright golden yellow foliage that stays that color throughout the year. Not as fast growing as some of its green cousins, this variety will average 8 feet in height and four feet in width at the 10-year mark, though it can eventually reach 20 feet at maturity, while maintaining a relatively narrow profile. 'Janed Gold' will grow into an attractive specimen or foundation plant with little effort. A sunny exposure is needed to maintain the bright gold color, and regular watering will keep it healthy and happy.
