'Mary's Peak' strawberry was developed in collaboration between the USDA and Oregon's Agricultural Experiment Station and released to the market in 2018. Technically a June-bearing strawberry, 'Mary's Peak' starts producing in late June and may keep on into July. Medium-sized berries are firm with excellent flavor. Easy to grow in the ground or in container planters, mulching the plants may help suppress weeds and deter slugs. Although strawberries will tolerate some shade, they are all the sweeter for getting as much sun as possible.
