Baby's Tears is one of those lush green ground cover type plants that we would love to have year-round but alas, this Mediterranean native is too tender for our Pacific NW winters. Growing a bare two inches tall, it can spread its dainty foliage up to three feet wide in shady gardens as a ground cover or a trailer in container planters and hanging baskets. Perfect for shady fairy gardens, Baby's Tears can also be used as an indoor trailer and in terrariums, as it enjoys the warmer temps and higher humidity.  
Fun Fact: Baby's Tears got its botanical name from the 19th century botanist, Joseph Soleirol, who had a vast collection of Corsican plant specimens. Just goes to show the staying power of this tiny plant!
