Product Description
Product Description
It's easy to mistake this Variegated Potato Vine for Sweet Potato Vines, and it can fulfill the same functions in Pacific NW summer gardens. A member of the nightshade family, Solanum jasminoides 'Aurea' can climb up to 20 feet in warmer winter climates, but will more likely be in the range of four-plus feet tall/long and two feet wide here in Oregon. Growing best in full to partial sun, Variegated Potato Vine is a colorful trailer or given support, a great climber. Slightly fragrant white flowers start appearing in the spring and continue into the summer, and may turn into black berries. Please keep these out of reach of pets and small humans, as they are toxic.
