Sempervivum Colorockz® 'Coral Red'

Given the right amount of sun, moisture, and excellent drainage, Hens and Chicks couldn't be easier to grow. Colorockz® 'Coral Red' adds year-round color to those dryer parts of the garden, as well as container planters and hanging baskets. Be sure to water it regularly until established, then forget it. Too much water, especially if planted in heavy clay soil, will surely rot out this succulent's roots. Not enough sun, and 'Coral Red's' fabulous coloring may fade to green. Mature hens will start growing a thick columnar flower stalk in the summer, signaling that rosette's demise, but removing it will simply make room for all the baby chicks to take its place.
