Chinese Sedum 'Coral Reef' is a wonderful ground cover option for those sunny dry areas of the garden and does best in well-draining soil. Many Pacific NW gardeners struggle with heavy clay soil, so container planters and hanging baskets may be the answer. It drapes beautifully when planted on the outer edge of planters, adding wonderful texture and color. 'Coral Reef' will root wherever a leaf node is in contact with the soil, so if pieces break off, just leave it on the ground.
