Sedum spurium 'What a Doozie'

Succulents tend not to survive our clay soil here in the Portland metro area, so we often suggest using container planters for better drainage. 'What a Doozie' is a fun addition to small hanging baskets or mixed container planters, providing a bright foliar contrast and trailing capacity to other succulents such as hens and chicks. Though not confirmed, we suspect that this stonecrop will die back in the winter after sending up clusters of pale pink to white flowers in late summer to early fall. Usually ignored by deer and rabbits, pollinators will enjoy the late season flowers. If the cream and green foliage does make it through the winter, consider trimming it back in early spring to encourage new growth.
