One needs to get up close and personal with this stonecrop to truly see its unique formation of foliage. Almost knobby looking, Mossy Stonecrop stays low to the ground but can spread eight to 12 inches wide. Drought and lower temps may cause the green foliage to take on red hues, making an attractive background for the clusters of white flowers that emerge in the summer. Appreciated by pollinators but usually ignored by rabbits, this low growing succulent does well in hanging baskets and container planters. It can also handle lower light than many other succulents, but prefers full sun.
