This tiny-leafed succulent is an Oregon native, found in the higher elevations of the Cascades, and grows well in crevices and gravelly soil.
Product Description
Product Description
We cannot emphasize enough the two things that are most detrimental to sedums - not enough sun and too much water. This stonecrop normally grows in crevices with good drainage and lots of sun, so consider growing Sedum divergens in container planters or hanging baskets rather than our typically heavy, clay soil. You'll also be able to enjoy the plump, rounded foliage more, as the leaves are so tiny. Bright yellow flowers arrive in the summer, attracting bees and butterflies, and unlike Hens and Chicks, sedums don't die after flowering. Stonecrops are wonderful additions to xeriscapes, rock gardens, retaining walls, and those areas of the garden where the hose won't reach and the soil is gravelly.
