Salvia 'Victoria Blue' Jumbo Traypack

Salvias are a favorite in the nursery, in part because there are so many different varieties, most gardeners are bound to find at least one salvia to suit their needs. 'Victoria Blue' salvia, aka Mealycup Sage or Blue Sage, produces an abundance of blue flower stalks that stand above the compact green foliage, 18 to 24 inches tall and a foot wide. Hardy to 10 degrees, we treat this one as an annual, as its return in the spring isn't always guaranteed. As is true of most salvias, this one loves the warm days of summer and the leaves are fragrant when crushed.   Deer and rabbits tend to avoid it, but bees and hummingbirds will flock to the tall blue flowers of 'Victoria Blue.'
