Product Description
Many gardeners recognize the purple varieties of meadow sage but don't realize there is a pink version that is just as tough. 'Sixteen Candles' meadow sage has the same structural profile - low-growing mound of rough, matte green leaves with flower spikes towering up to 18 inches tall - and handles the same growing conditions. In the ground, this salvia will become drought-tolerant once established, but will need regular watering if grown in container planters. Its fragrant leaves are unappealing to deer (usually) while the flower spikes are beacons for bees and hummingbirds. Meadow sage is one of the most reliable perennials of the sage family, returning year after year in the Pacific NW.
