Salvia Sally fun™ 'Deep Ocean'

Technically a perennial hardy down to 10 degrees, Sallyfun™ 'Ocean Deep' salvia may be a bit too tender to survive our Pacific NW winters, but it makes the most of our summers, producing masses of tall violet-blue flower stalks right up until fall freeze. Forming tidy mounds up to two feet tall and almost as wide, this salvia is a great centerpiece for container planters and hanging baskets, and dresses up borders well. All salvias have a somewhat minty fragrant that deer and rabbits usually avoid, while hummingbirds and bees love the flowers. Determined gardeners may try sheltering this salvia under the eaves or in garages/greenhouses for the winter, but we can't promise Sallyfun™ 'Deep Ocean' Salvia will return in the spring.
