This sweet, low-growing tender perennial sends out small but bright red flowers on long wand-like stems from late spring until frost and often reseeds itself.
Product Description
Product Description
We're not quite sure why Red Ruellia is also known as Brazilian Petunia because the deep red flowers bear no resemblance to petunias. It could be a nod to the slightly hairy, attractive green foliage that spreads about two feet wide but is low-growing, only about 12 inches tall. Red, trumpet-shaped flowers emerge at the ends of wand-like stems and blooms from late spring up until frost. Foliage and flowers add interesting texture and color to container planters, hanging baskets, and garden borders, and is likely to reseed itself when planted in the ground.
