Flowering Currant is a favorite in the maritime Pacific NW and this cultivar is a spectacular option for the home garden.
Product Description
Product Description
'King Edward VII' flowering currant is touted as one of the most colorful varieties available in the maritime Pacific NW. Pinkish-red flowers emerge in the spring, then morph into blue-black berries by the summer. Pollinators love the flowers and birds appreciate the berries. Depending upon the environment, this variety can grow at least three feet tall and under ideal conditions, could hit 6 to 8 feet in height and width at maturity. Full sun exposure will ensure the most blooms, though 'King Edward VII' will perform well in part shade. A favorite in a woodland garden, this deciduous shrub can also be used as a seasonal hedge.
