We place 'Howden' pumpkin starts on the Edibles tables, but in reality, most folks grow this big boy for Halloween pumpkins rather than as an edible squash. 10 - 15 foot long vines will produce anywhere from one to six pumpkins each. We recommend planting the starts in tall hills (so the soil heats quickly) with our dry fertilizer, Root Power, to get the plants off to a good start. Pumpkin plants are heavy feeders, so you'll need to fertilize throughout the growing season.
