Able to handle our chilly wet Pacific NW winters, 'Nana' alpine cinquefoil is also drought-tolerant once established, so it's useful in those less frequently watered areas of the garden. Full sun will bring out the most flowers, though it will tolerate a bit of shade. Deer apparently tend to ignore it though pollinators love the bright yellow flowers. Evergreen in mild winters, 'Nana' spreads slowly by underground runners, and does well in rock gardens, garden borders, and container planters.
