Product Description
Product Description
Many gardeners don't expect ferns to be drought tolerant, but there are some varieties that do well in shaded rock gardens or retaining walls, once established. 'Herrenhausen' soft shield fern is one, and it's an eye-catching specimen with feathery fronds that often sport bulbils, or baby ferns, along the stems. Evergreen to semi-evergreen in warmer winters, it adds wonderful texture to shade baskets and garden borders, forming an upright rosette with arching fronds that can grow two to three feet tall and wide.
