Phormium 'Wings of Gold' 1 Gallon

The arching, sword-like leaves of 'Wings of Gold' New Zealand Flax add wonderful vertical interest to container planters, hanging baskets, and the back of borders in sunny gardens. A bit smaller than some of its red-toned cousins, this variety grows three to four feet tall and two to three feet wide at maturity. Though it seems as though it should be drought-tolerant, 'Wings of Gold' will maintain its best looks when watered regularly in the summer months. New Zealand Flax is salt-tolerant, so does well in coastal gardens as well, but in any case, prefers sunny locations.
