Philodendron cordatum 'Gold Heartleaf'

Philodendrons adapt fairly well to our indoor environment, though they prefer higher humidity than humans. Placing the pot on a pebble-filled tray with water barely covering them may provide the additional moisture needed. 'Gold Heartleaf' maintains its beautiful gold coloring when grown in a well-lit room or under grow lights, but direct sun will scorch the leaves. Let this specimen trail, or train it up a support and let it climb. It's not unusual for this variety to grow more than three feet long/tall, but the ends can be cut just below a leaf node and placed in water to root.
