Product Description
Ghost' pepper, also known as Bhut Jolokia, is officially the hottest chili pepper in the world, coming in at over 1,000,000 Scoville heat units. It is also extremely slow to produce ripe fruits, and requires lots of sun, so determined gardeners may wish to consider growing this pepper in a greenhouse where temps and humidity can be more easily controlled. This pepper plant is also larger than other peppers, possibly growing up to four feet tall and one to three feet wide if grown in the ground. 'Ghost' pepper may be grown in a large pot, resulting in a smaller plant. Green fruits are not as hot as fully ripe, red peppers, but in either case, please wear gloves when handling 'Ghost' peppers, and be sure to wash hands thoroughly before touching the eyes or skin.
