Until 2024, 'Carolina Reaper' held the Guiness book of records title for the hottest hot pepper in the world.

Product Description

With an average of 1,641,000 Scoville Heat Units, 'Carolina Reaper' peppers are small atom bombs of heat. Crinkly, bumpy red peppers, usually one to two inches long (including a long tail), will vary in heat from one pepper to another, with some clocking in at 2,200,000 Scoville Heat Units. Initially, there is a hint of sweet cherry and chocolate flavors, then it's all about fire in the mouth. This pepper held the record as the world's hottest pepper until 2024. Ironically, the man that developed 'Carolina Reaper' also developed the pepper that supplanted it in 2025. Called Pepper X, it is not yet available for sale.
