Peperomia obtusifolia 'Marble'

There are a vast number of peperomia plants and they can look quite different, but some varieties are hard to distinguish one from another. 'Marble' looks very much like 'Variegata' with thick, succulent-like, oval leaves that are splashed with cream and green. The growth and environmental needs are the same - lots of indirect light, higher humidity than what most humans consider comfortable, and deep but infrequent watering. Some folks will mist this peperomia to raise the humidity while also cleaning the leaves (they can get dusty!). As an alternative, place the pot on a tray/saucer filled with pebbles, then add just enough water to barely cover the pebbles.

This peperomia is fairly low-maintenance and won't suffer much if it misses a watering. Put it in its own pot or use it in a mixed container with plants needing similar care. It works well as a filler, and spreads nicely over the edges of pots.
