The dark red foliage and red stems are what sets 'Pocahonta!s' apart from other penstemons, creating a great backdrop for the lavender-pink blooms.
Product Description
Product Description
One look at the tubular, lavender-pink flowers, and you'll know why 'Pocahontas' penstemon, aka Beardtongue, is a favorite of hummingbirds and other pollinators. Rising high on red stems in late spring to early summer, the flowers stand out against the dark red foliage and are a great back-of-border choice for sunny garden spots. Clumps can grow two to three feet wide, so give this tough perennial some room. Deer-resistant and drought tolerant once established, 'Pocahontas' will return year after year.
