'Green Showers' Boston Ivy has glossy green, three-lobed leaves in the spring and summer, providing splendid coverage for unsightly fences and walls, or any support the gardener can supply. That said, it's best to keep this self-clinging climber away from other plants or structures you don't want covered because it will ascend neighboring trees, shrubs, and buildings if given the opportunity. Cooler temps bring out the stunning orange-red coloring, providing an end-of-season show before the leaves drop, revealing blue-black berries that birds will enjoy.
