Oxalis 'Plum Crazy' 4 Inch

Many gardeners are wary of oxalis in any form, as some varieties are considered invasive. Not so for Plum Crazy Wood Sorrel (aka Plum Crazy Volcanic Sorrel), a highly attractive pink and purple variegated variety with bright yellow flowers in late spring. Growing to about six inches high, 'Plum Crazy' oxalis forms a dense mound that can spread up to two feet wide. A unique addition to shade gardens, this variety works well in container planters and hanging baskets, often trailing over the edges. 'Plum Crazy' will go dormant in the winter and doesn't fair well in freezing weather, but determined gardeners may bring it indoors for the winter, giving it as much indirect light as possible.
