When searching for Oregon natives, gardeners may encounter redwood sorrel, a vigorous shade-loving perennial that often keeps its foliage year-round. 'Klamath Ruby' hales from Southern Oregon, with green, clover-leaf foliage and red undersides. This specimen is a vigorous grower, staying around six inches tall, but able to spread up to five feet wide. Excellent for woodland settings, it can handle deep shade, and may also be a good option for areas under decks.
