I have always struggled planting beautiful baskets or pots. I have discovered with the help of The Garden Corner staff my most significant issue has been not enough plants. My most recent realization is a misconception of the types and size the plants may grow into are not the determining factor of being an appropriate choice. Planting Nandina in a larger pedestal basket was way outside my frame of reference. The recommendation to start with a 1 gallon potted Nandina looks great now providing a feathery backdrop to smaller plants, and will change color through the summer to highlight those plants as they grow larger. It has been fun to work with the Garden Corner learning about planting beautiful baskets!
Looking for three 1 gallon nandinas to even things out in our yard. The help I received was great. Some of each of the plants were sunburned from our hot weather. She apologized for this but it was no big deal.
