Muehlenbeckia complexa is a reliable trailer in the maritime Pacific NW and often rides out the winter with minimal damage. Round leaves grow along wiry stems that can stretch to two feet long. Its trailing habit makes Muehlenbeckia an excellent choice for hanging baskets, container planters, and retaining walls. Miniscule greenish-white flowers appear in the spring and summer, but are relatively inconspicuous.
