Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light' 1 Gallon

Morning Light' Maiden Grass (aka Morning Light Chinese Silver Grass) is regarded by some gardeners as the best of the miscanthus cultivars, and it has received the Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society to prove it. Variegated foliage adds a silvery look to this vase-shaped grass that moves freely in the wind, creating a shimmery effect. Reddish plumes emerge in late summer then gradually fade to white in the fall and winter. The four to five foot foliage may be left over winter or cut almost to the ground in the fall or early spring, before new growth appears. Drought-tolerant, salt tolerant, and deer- and rabbit-resistant, this seemingly delicate looking grass is tough enough to handle Pacific NW winters and does well in coastal gardens.
