Lupinus regalis 'Gallery Pink Bicolor'

Lupines are a classic cut-flower and English garden staple, providing bright flags of color in late spring to early summer. 'Gallery Pink Bicolor' is a smaller variety, staying under two feet in height, forming clumps about a foot across. Bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies enjoy the vertical blooms for several weeks, as the flowers open from the base of the stalk upwards. Known to be fairly short-lived for perennials, lupines also self-sow easily, so by all means, cut flowers for bouquets, but consider leaving spent blooms toward the end of the flowering period so seeds can form and drop.
