Loropetalum chinense 'Monraz'

Chinese Fringe Flower shrubs add amazing color to the year-round garden. Razzleberri's new growth emerges a burgundy-tinged green, then matures to an olive green. Red-hued, spidery-shaped flowers bloom primarily in the spring, then make random appearances throughout the year. Left to its own devices, this evergreen shrub will form a rounded shape four to six feet tall and up to five feet wide. It can be used as an informal hedge, shaped into tree form, or as a topiary, but otherwise requires little pruning. 'Razzleberri' is technically an evergreen shrub, but may look worse for wear in extreme cold. A light pruning in early spring will help restore its good looks.
