Lewisias have long been regarded as a garden staple, yet they seem to go out of fashion periodically, which we find surprising. Extremely cold tolerant, they prefer gravelly, well-draining soil, are drought tolerant once established, and flower beautifully twice in the year, once in late spring and then again in late summer. Evergreen in warmer climates, they tend to withstand our Pacific NW winters with minimal wear and tear.
'Little Raspberry' offers cheery, single-petaled flowers in bright pink to reddish pink tones, attracting pollinators and gardeners alike. The brightly colored flowers are wonderful in container planters and hanging baskets, or plant in rock gardens or xeriscapes for reliable color.
